Sightseeing and a photo session in one
You come to Kraków for a few days. You want to see the city and end up with pictures better than a selfie outside the Cloth Hall. Usually you have to choose one or the other.
A photo tour does both. We walk a route through the most interesting places, I talk about them along the way, and the photographs happen as we go — without stopping to pose every few minutes.
How it works
We meet at an agreed spot and set off on foot. The route depends on how much time we have and what interests you. We stop where the light and the background work best.
You do not need any experience. I suggest where to stand and what to do with your hands, and the rest of the time we simply walk and talk. The best frames usually happen once you forget the camera is there.
Where we go
The classic route — Wawel Castle, the riverside boulevards, the Main Square, the Cloth Hall, St Mary's Basilica and the Planty park. Everything people want from photographs of Kraków.
The atmospheric route — Kazimierz, Plac Nowy, Szeroka Street, the Bernatka footbridge with its padlocks, and the side streets covered in murals. Less postcard, more character.
The sunrise route — Wawel and the riverside just after dawn, when nobody else is around. It takes an early start, but you cannot get these pictures at any other hour.
Routes can be combined and changed on the spot. If there is a place that means something to you, say so and we will work it into the plan.
Who it suits
Couples who want something to remember the trip by. Families with children, where a conventional session would drag on too long. Solo travellers tired of photographs taken at arm's length. And engagements — Kraków is the kind of city where that sort of thing happens.
I speak Polish and English. With other languages we manage without trouble — I show you the frames as we go, so you always know what is being made.
What you get
Ten fully edited photographs are included in every option, regardless of how long the session lasted. That is enough for a keepsake and for social media.
You get far more to choose from — every good frame from the whole walk, in a gallery with previews. You pick the ten that go through full editing.
The gallery reaches you the same day. That matters on a trip: you can look through the pictures in your hotel that evening and send something home before you even travel back.
If you want more than ten, each additional edited photograph costs 40 PLN. You decide after seeing the gallery, not before the session.
Timing
I do not work to fixed hours. Tell me when you are in Kraków and how much time you have, and I will fit around your plans. Sunrise sessions are arranged separately, since the time depends on the season.
How long it takes
An hour covers one route in shortened form — Wawel and the riverside, or the Main Square and the Old Town. A good choice when your schedule is tight or you want to see whether this format suits you.
Two hours is the most common choice. Enough for a full route without hurrying, with stops wherever the light happens to fall well.
Four hours lets us combine the Old Town with Kazimierz, with a coffee break in the middle. With children or older relatives, that usually works better than an intense two hours.
Worth thinking about
Comfortable shoes — we walk a fair distance. Kraków weather is unpredictable, so if it rains we move under the arcades and indoors; the pictures come out different, but not worse.
The best light is just after sunrise and in the hour before sunset. The middle of the day works too, only the route looks different then — more shade, fewer open squares.
